MONITOR

MONITOR is an ongoing interactive research work in which participants are guided through a series of exercises inspired by processes used by the CIA in the 1970’s - 1990’s to teach people how to remote view. The exercises are also informed by the changing nature of surveillance — from embodied to remote, data driven strategies. The first iteration was shown in the Hockney Gallery in London and featured an interactive performance looking at ways the CIA was teaching Remote Viewing techniques in the Stargate Project as well as global surveillance techniques involving drones and satellite. The second iteration was shown at the Horse Hospital in London and incorporated an audio work.
